JOB DESCRIPTION: As a highly qualified 3Cs and mechanics Game Designer, you will contribute to designing and bringing to life a fluid game experience throughout the project. You will be responsible for ensuring that the player's direct interaction with the game world, through character responsiveness, camera systems, and control schemes, is perfected, intuitive, and deeply satisfying. Under the direction of the Associate Lead Game Design, you will play a pivotal role between artistic and technical parties by transforming the vision of the Creative Director, authors, and other designers into a coherent set that you will detail, prototype, and follow at each stage of production. * Based on a script, define and promote the 3Cs vision by conceptualizing character controls, camera behavior, and control responsiveness, up to the final polish. * Based on a script, define and promote the vision of cross-scene gameplay mechanics that combine cinematic grandeur with accessibility and ergonomics, up to the final polish. * Ensure the creation and monitoring of design and technical documentation surrounding the 3Cs and cross-scene mechanics you develop. * Create and adjust prototypes to explore and validate game feel directly in the engine. * Guarantee the quality of the final user experience. * Collaborate closely with other designers, camera, animation, engineering, gameplay, and UX/UI teams to create an accessible, engaging, and faithful experience to the initial vision. * Monitor the market and stay updated on the latest trends/practices of our competitors. ### REQUIRED SKILLS: * At least 3 years of experience as a Game Designer and one game delivered in an AA or AAA game development studio; * Demonstrated and successful experience on 3C deliverables (character, controls, camera); * An in-depth understanding of game systems, scripting, and gameplay flow; * Organization, rigor, and autonomy; your production is structured and respects the project nomenclature; * Excellent communication, team spirit, and ability to promote design to other departments; * Humble, you have the will to make your colleagues and the project shine; * Ability to challenge yourself to propose creative solutions and ideas and adapt your experience to original games; * Ability to question yourself, to want to learn and adapt; * A good level of English, oral and written, is required to communicate easily with the international members of our teams; ABOUT QUANTIC DREAM: Quantic Dream is a video game creation studio founded in 1997 by David Cage, based in Paris, France, and Montreal, Canada.
