Job Summary

Reporting to the Financial Director, the Management Controller will join a strategic function to ensure the performance and profitability of the studio. This role involves the economic management of projects, from data collection and validation to preparing analyses for management and production teams. As a Business Partner, the role is transversal, linking financial challenges with operational realities.

Must Have

  • Monitor development budgets (including personnel costs and purchases) and production schedules.
  • Analyze variations between actuals and forecasts, propose corrective actions and adjustment scenarios.
  • Rigorously track studio overheads and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Produce reports for management and Budget Owners to aid quick decision-making.
  • Participate in preparing provisional budgets in close collaboration with all departments.
  • Develop social reporting on HR KPIs, including socio-economic data modeling.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control within financial and operational processes.
  • Proactively improve financial and budgetary management processes for efficiency.
  • Contribute to the implementation and evolution of new management tools.
  • BAC+5 degree in finance/management control.
  • First experience (including internships) in project management, finance, or business.
  • Autonomous, organized, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Rigorous, agile, methodical, and reactive.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Fluent English.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of VBA would be a plus.
  • Strong interest in video games; industry knowledge is a plus.

YOUR MISSIONS:

Reporting to the Financial Director, you will join a strategic function for the performance and profitability of our studio. You will ensure the economic management of our projects, from data collection and validation to the preparation of analyses for Management and Production teams.

As a Business Partner for the teams, your role will be transversal, linking financial challenges with the operational reality of our projects.

1. Operational management and project optimization

  • Monitoring of development budgets (including personnel costs and purchases) and production schedules, in direct connection with the progress of creative and technical milestones.
  • Analysis of variations between actuals and forecasts, and proactively propose corrective actions and adjustment scenarios.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of the studio's overheads. Lead an active approach to optimizing expenses and identify avenues for overall operational improvement.

2. Reporting and Budget Construction

  • Production of reports for Management and Budget Owners to aid quick decision-making.
  • Participate in the preparation of provisional budgets in close collaboration with all departments (Production, HR, Marketing, etc.).
  • Develop social reporting on HR KPIs (payroll, headcount, turnover, etc.) including the modeling of socio-economic data to assist decision-making in HR policy.

3. Internal Control and System Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with internal control within financial and operational processes (purchases, fixed assets, expense reports, etc.), ensuring the conformity of expenses and the security of information flows.
  • Be proactive in the continuous improvement of financial and budgetary management processes, aiming for efficiency and speed in the reporting cycle.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation and evolution of new management tools (financial, HR, BI) with a view to constantly improving monitoring and data quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Graduated with a BAC+5 degree (e.g., Business School), with a specialization in finance/management control, you have a first experience (including internships) in a project management, finance, or business environment;
  • You are autonomous, organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills;
  • Rigorous, you demonstrate agility in carrying out your missions;
  • Methodical and reactive;
  • Curious, open to others;
  • You have a strong desire to learn and participate in major projects;
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint; knowledge of VBA would be a plus;
  • Strong interest in video games, knowledge of the industry is not mandatory, but would be a plus;
  • Fluent English is essential for this position.
