Job Summary

Reltio is seeking an experienced Senior Instructional Designer to develop advanced technical training for its global ecosystem of customers, partners, and internal teams. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex product features into engaging, outcome-driven learning experiences. As a senior member of the Technical Training team, you will shape curriculum strategy, partner closely with product and engineering teams, and contribute to scalable and effective technical enablement initiatives. The role involves designing and developing innovative, role-based learning experiences across various formats like eLearning, vILT, simulations, and hands-on labs.

Must Have

  • Design and develop innovative, role-based learning experiences (eLearning, vILT, simulations, labs, videos, infographics, assessments).
  • Create high-fidelity storyboards and prototypes.
  • Translate complex technical content (APIs, data models, MDM workflows, platform architecture) into intuitive learning materials.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and collaborate with SMEs, Product Managers, and Engineers.
  • Manage end-to-end courseware development (scope, timelines, review, QA).
  • Develop templates and reusable learning components using Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond.
  • Curate and maintain content within LMS (Skilljar), aligning with product release cycles.
  • Measure learning effectiveness using metrics.
  • Stay current with instructional design best practices, emerging technologies, and Reltio’s product landscape.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in instructional design with a focus on technical or SaaS product training.
  • Ability to design for multiple audiences (data architects, developers, analysts, administrators).
  • Proven experience developing technical training in various formats.
  • Ability to translate complex technical workflows into clear training.
  • Strong visualization and storyboarding skills.
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, and other authoring tools.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Docebo, Cornerstone, Skilljar) and standards (SCORM, xAPI, accessibility).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on learner outcomes.

  • Conceptual understanding of data management principles (data quality, data governance, hierarchy management).
  • Exposure to developer environments/tools (Postman, GitHub, CLI, JSON).
  • Skill in aligning certification content with business/product priorities.

Job Summary:

This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex product features into engaging, outcome-driven learning experiences. As a senior member of the Technical Training team, you will shape curriculum strategy, partner closely with product and engineering teams, and contribute to scalable and effective technical enablement initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative, role-based learning experiences across formats such as eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), simulations, hands-on labs, explainer videos, infographics, and assessments.
  • Create high-fidelity storyboards and prototypes based on high-level design documents and stakeholder inputs.
  • Translate complex technical content (e.g., APIs, data models, MDM workflows, platform architecture) into intuitive and digestible learning materials.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and collaborate with SMEs, Product Managers, and Engineers to extract accurate and relevant information.
  • Independently manage end-to-end courseware development, including scope, timelines, review cycles, and QA.
  • Develop templates and reusable learning components using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Vyond, ensuring brand consistency and scalability.
  • Curate and maintain content within our Learning Management System (Skilljar), ensuring alignment with product release cycles.
  • Measure learning effectiveness using metrics such as adoption rates, learner confidence, assessment scores, and feedback.
  • Stay current with instructional design best practices, emerging learning technologies, and Reltio’s evolving product landscape.

Skills You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field; a background in Computer Science, Data Science, or Mass Communication is a strong plus.
  • 4–8 years of experience in instructional design with a focus on technical or SaaS product training.
  • Demonstrated ability to design for multiple audiences including data architects, developers, analysts, and administrators.
  • Proven experience developing technical training in formats such as eLearning, ILT/vILT, hands-on labs, simulations, and certification pathways.
  • Ability to translate complex technical workflows (e.g., integration flows, data modeling) into clear, structured training
  • Strong visualization and storyboarding skills with the ability to create interactive and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, and other standard authoring and media tools; ability to adopt new tools quickly.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, Skilljar) and knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments, adapting to evolving product requirements and fast-paced timelines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on learner outcomes and performance impact.

Overall Market Range

$85,000 - $145,000 USD
