Rush Street Interactive is seeking a Senior IT Engineer, Atlassian, to manage and optimize their Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for project management, software development, and enterprise collaboration. This role involves full lifecycle administration, process automation, workflow enhancement, and ensuring optimal performance of Atlassian platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Administer all Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and associated plugins.
  • Design, configure, and manage Jira projects, workflows, fields, permissions, issue types, and automations.
  • Lead and support automation initiatives within the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Plan, execute, and manage platform migrations, version upgrades, and integrations.
  • Maintain system integrity, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and IT teams to tailor solutions.
  • Provide end-user training, create documentation, and promote best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend Atlassian Marketplace apps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian administration and automation in enterprise environments.
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-120 Jira Admin, ACP-100 Jira Project Admin) are required.
  • Strong expertise in administering Jira (Software and Service Management), Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable Jira workflows, permission schemes, dashboards, filters, and project templates.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools.
  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with identity and access management, HRIS, Communication systems.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, JQL, and automation scripting for Atlassian tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, service management concepts, and DevOps pipelines.

The Atlassian Administrator will oversee the full lifecycle administration, optimization, and strategic utilization of the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) to support project management, software development, and enterprise collaboration across the organization. This role will drive process automation, enhance team workflows, and ensure optimal performance of Atlassian platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. Atlassian certification is highly desirable.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as an administrator for all Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and associated plugins.
  • Design, configure, and manage Jira projects, workflows, fields, permissions, issue types, and automations in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead and support automation initiatives within the Atlassian ecosystem to streamline business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency.
  • Plan, execute, and manage platform migrations, version upgrades, and integrations with third-party systems and internal tools.
  • Maintain system integrity, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data consistency across the Atlassian platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and IT teams to tailor solutions aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Provide end-user training, create documentation, and promote best practices for effective use of Atlassian tools.
  • Evaluate and recommend Atlassian Marketplace apps to extend capabilities and meet emerging requirements.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian administration and automation in enterprise environments.
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-120 Jira Admin, ACP-100 Jira Project Admin) required.
  • Strong expertise in administering Jira (Software and Service Management), Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable Jira workflows, permission schemes, dashboards, filters, and project templates.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools.
  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with identity and access management, HRIS, Communication systems.

2. In this sense, by this means, I give my prior, clear, express, and informed authorization to RSI to collect, store, compile, process, distribute, use, circulate, maintain availability, access, delete, update, transmit and/or transfer nationally and/or internationally, and in general, directly or indirectly process all my personal information that I reveal in the recruitment and selection process, and all that which I must reveal in the future to RSI and other companies of the RSI Group or are directly obtained by RSI through home visits, background checks and/or medical examinations, among others, such as, but not limited to, name, identity document number, age, date of birth, address, email, cell phone, sex, nationality, language, contact details through social networks such as LinkedIn, information related to my education and/or employment history, family environment, including eventually sensitive data such as, but not limited to, photographs, videos, and medical information, for the following purposes:

(i) Request the resume and attached documents for evaluation within the recruitment and selection process; (ii) Communicate by any provided contact means when required to continue with the selection process; (iii) Verify background, personal information, work and professional experience as part of the selection process; (iv) Keep a record of the people who applied in each selection process and their results; (v) Report information to the competent authorities if required; (vi) Verify information in compliance with current regulations such as those related to requirements for the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing; (vii) Maintain and have the information available in databases where RSI can contact me for other selection processes; and (viii) Any other purpose directly related to the recruitment and selection processes carried out by RSI.

3. Likewise, I declare to understand and accept that the processing of my personal data by RSI may be carried out from the technological platforms available to the RSI Group internationally such as, but not limited to, Greenhouse and Checkr, which will be functionally managed by national or foreign third parties, data processors and/or sub-processors, in accordance with applicable legislation.

4. Furthermore, I understand that I have the right to know, update, and rectify my personal data in accordance with the procedures provided in RSI's Personal Data Processing Policy; request proof of this authorization; be informed of the uses being given to my information, upon request; file complaints with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio; revoke the authorization and/or request the deletion of the data when this processing falls within the causes established in literal e) of article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012; and access my personal data free of charge.

5. In this sense, I understand and accept that any query or claim in relation to the processing of my personal data can be directed to Calle 81 No. 11 - 55 Torre Norte Piso 9 or to the email: datospersonales@rushbet.co

6. I have been informed that the processing of my personal data will be carried out in accordance with RSI's Personal Data Processing Policy, which was made known by RSI, and which I declare to know and accept. I understand that said Policy may be modified at any time and that its consultation is permanently open to the public through the website www.rushbet.co, in the link "Privacy Policy".

7. I declare that I have been informed and am fully aware of the optional nature of granting the authorizations here referred to regarding the sensitive data listed in numeral 2 of this authorization.
