Senior Legal Manager - Corporate

About the Role

Fasten your helmet and climb aboard if you’re ready to join our Corporate and International Legal team as Senior Legal Manager. In this role, you will be an integral player of the legal team based in Jakarta. As Senior Legal Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing general corporate and structural matters of GoTo Group entities, and also provide legal support to cross-functional teams within the Group such as Human Resources, as well as to GoTo Impact Foundation, an independent non-profit organization established by the Group. In addition, you may also have the opportunity to assist the team on M&A and capital markets transactions. In this role, you will liaise closely with various internal teams and your efforts will directly influence decision making, ensuring that business activities may be conducted in line with relevant legal requirements.

What You Will Do

• Handle internal legal matters in relation to the corporate structure and management of GoTo entities
• Provide day-to-day legal support for cross-functional departments, including HR, among others, as well as to GoTo Impact Foundation
• Assist the Corporate and International Legal team with M&A and capital markets transactions
• Work closely and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external legal counsel appointed by the Group as required
• Provide support in the drafting, standardisation and implementation of GoTo policies, terms & conditions, internal working procedures and intragroup contracts

What You Will Need

• Bachelor of Law from a reputable law school in Indonesia
• Minimum 6 years of experience in private practice at top-tier law firms, or minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience as in-house legal of multinational companies
• Significant experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents both in English and Indonesian
• Deep corporate legal knowledge of and strong analytical skills (contractual and business structuring)
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Highly responsible, motivated and independent, willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment, and strong interest in the Tech industry
• Demonstrated ability to adapt, work as a team member, and excellent communication with social competence skills

About the Team

You’ll be part of the Corporate and International Legal team, a group of passionate individuals serving as a strategic partner of GoTo Group on all legal matters concerning M&A and capital markets transactions, partnerships, proprietary investments and Group corporate structure, advising on important transactions and other matters influencing the direction of the Group. The team also provides invaluable legal support to Human Resources and other cross-functional teams of the Group and to the GoTo Impact Foundation.
