Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Match Group AI is the central AI organization contributing to various Match Group products like Tinder and Hinge by leveraging AI technologies. They identify and solve problems that are difficult to approach with existing technologies but can be solved with AI, innovating user experiences. They are developing tools to help users express themselves better and features that provide a more satisfying experience in discovering meaningful connections. The ML Team within Match Group AI consists of ML Engineers who apply AI technologies to various Match Group services. They are scientists researching and applying the latest AI technologies, and also engineers who design and optimize models and systems for real service environments to create practical impact. Their work starts by identifying and defining problems occurring in actual service environments. They develop or reproduce State-of-the-Art models suitable for problem-solving and stably and efficiently deploy completed models in mobile and server environments. Subsequently, they build the service's AI Flywheel through continuous monitoring and improvement. In this process, they collaborate closely with various specialized organizations such as backend/frontend/DevOps engineers, data analysts, and PMs to create AI experiences that impact actual users. They also publicly release some of their work as papers or open-source code.

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML projects
• Solve complex engineering constraints with AI and software engineering knowledge
• Successfully applied AI tech to improve business metrics
• Explore and share new technologies to enhance team's technical competitiveness
• Experience mentoring other ML engineers
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Basic English communication and fluent Korean communication

• Extensive knowledge across AI/ML domains
• Publications in top AI/ML conferences/journals or AI competition wins
• Experience in open-source ML development
• Experience with ML workflow automation (AutoML, hyperparameter optimization, data/training pipelines)
• Rich development experience outside AI/ML (client, backend)
• Experience in A/B testing and defining KPI metrics
• Experience with SQL-based data analysis
• Experience deriving insights using causal inference and statistical methods
• Business-level English communication
