Job Description
Bounteous x Accolite is seeking a Senior Magento Developer to join their team in India. This hybrid, full-time role involves developing and enhancing applications using the Magento 2 framework, analyzing existing code, and implementing new features. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Magento 2, MySQL, Knockout JS, and REST API, with strong experience in customizing Magento processes. Responsibilities also include writing technical documentation, resolving defects, and ensuring information security practices. Candidates should be capable of taking end-to-end ownership of applications and communicating directly with clients.

Must Have:
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices.
- Identify, assess, and report security risks impacting information assets.
- Understand and evaluate data storage, processing, and transmission for compliance.
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle.
- Work on development and enhancement tasks using Magento 2 framework.
- Analyze existing applications including code, workflows, and integrations.
- Write technical, functional, and process documents.
- Implement new features and resolve existing defects.
- Work on performance improvements of applications.
- Take end-to-end ownership of applications and clarify requirements with clients.
- Provide daily status updates to clients and leads.
- Undergo certification if not done already.
- Deep understanding of Magento2 and MYSQL.
- Strong in using Knockout JS.
- Experience customizing frontend themes and modules.
- Experience customizing Magento catalog, checkout, payment, and shipping processes.
- Sound knowledge of MVC Architecture, design patterns, and ORM.
- Capable of writing complex queries.
- Very good knowledge on REST API.
- Deep functional understanding of past projects.
- Well versed with continuous integration tools and code repositories.
- Strong in communication.
- Good experience in Agile methodologies.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Role and Responsibilities
- You will be expected to work on development and enhancement tasks using Magento 2 framework Analyze the existing applications - code, workflows, integrations
- Write technical, functional and process documents
- Implement new features and resolve existing defects
- Work on performance improvements of the applications if the need is there in the project
- Take ownership of the applications end to end and reach out to the clients directly to clarify the doubts on requirements
- Provide status update to the clients and to the leads on a daily basis
- You will be expected to undergo certification if not done already
Preferred Qualifications
- Should have deep understanding of Magento2, MYSQL
- Strong in using knockout JS
- Experience in customizing the frontend themes and in customizing the modules to the requirements of the customer
- Experience in customizing catalog / checkout / payment / shipping processes in Magento
- Sound knowledge of MVC Architecture, design patterns and ORM
- Should be capable of writing complex queries
- Very good knowledge on REST API
- Deep functional understanding of the projects that he/she has worked on
- Well versed with continuous integration tools and code repositories
- Experience of working in Magento cloud environment is nice to have
