Job Description

The Finance Velocity Office at Visa aims to accelerate the finance function by shaping transformation strategy, improving business operations, and enhancing functional impact. This individual contributor role will partner with stakeholders across Finance to achieve workstream objectives aligned with the overall Finance Transformation strategy. Key responsibilities include building a strong foundation, modernizing processes, implementing technology, and ensuring measurable KPIs against Finance OKRs and Scorecard.
Must have:
  • Support the creation of the Finance Reporting & Analytics strategy and multi-year roadmap.
  • Lead the Reporting & Analytics PMO.
  • Create and deliver executive updates with impacts, risks, and clear asks.
  • Set and manage OKRs/KPIs for Reporting & Analytics, track performance, and drive corrective actions.
  • Create and own the end-to-end lifecycle process from intake to deployment.
  • Design the agile operating model and delivery standards.
  • Advance AI in reporting and analytics by prioritizing use cases and defining guardrails.
  • Lead change and adoption in partnership with the Change Management Office.
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree.
  • Experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Finance Operations.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Good to have:
  • At least 9 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with Shared service model and/or FP&A CoE development.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Experience working with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) in a Finance capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve current state practices and optimize existing processes.
  • Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technology, driving automation, and using data and trend analyses.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Quick learning ability in unfamiliar subjects and ability to analyze multiple data sets to create compelling stories.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to a leader in the Finance Velocity Team. This individual will partner closely with key stakeholders across the Finance function to achieve workstream objectives in alignment with the overall Finance Transformation strategy.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the creation of the Finance Reporting & Analytics strategy and multi‑year roadmap with Finance Transformation
  • Lead the Reporting & Analytics PMO in close coordination with the broader Finance Transformation PMO
  • Create and deliver executive updates—concise, decision‑ready readouts with impacts, risks, and clear asks
  • Set and manage OKRs/KPIs for Reporting & Analytics, track performance, and drive corrective actions
  • Create and own the end‑to‑end lifecycle process from intake to deployment—prioritization, roadmap development, quality gates, documentation, and controls
  • Design the agile operating model and delivery standards—backlog management, sprint planning, demos, retros, and continuous improvement
  • Advance AI in reporting and analytics—prioritize use cases, define guardrails and success metrics, pilot and scale within approved tools
  • Lead change and adoption—training, communications, and playbooks—in partnership with the Change Management Office

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 9 years of professional experience with a Bachelors Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • Experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Finance Operations, preferably with Shared service model and/or FP&A CoE development. Management consulting strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) in a Finance capacity is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to improve current state practices, own end-to-end processes, and map and optimize existing processes.
  • Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience, with strong collaboration skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technology, driving automation into processes, and using data and trend analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels, and be resourceful and solution-oriented in ambiguous situations.
  • Quick learning ability in unfamiliar subjects that can be turned into actionable project initiatives, and ability to analyze multiple data sets and create compelling stories from insights.
  • Self-starter, results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal communication skills, exceptional personal accountability, and ethical standards. Capable of influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,900 to 217,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
