The Senior Manager, Customer & Market Research provides strategic insights from primary customer and market research within the global financial marketplace. This role involves analyzing customer, prospect, and competitor data to inform and enhance marketing, product development, brand strategy, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing and directing qualitative and quantitative research, managing customer experience monitoring programs, and delivering actionable recommendations to the business.

  • Create visually compelling presentations and executive summaries.
  • Identify strategic insights from research and internal data.
  • Communicate research results and strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Manage client experience programs, project timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of financial markets.
  • Possess 8-10 years of market research experience.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience with proposal development and executive presentations.
  • MBA in Marketing or BTech from a top Institute.

Role profile

Provides insight to the business from primary customer & market research and analysis in the financial global marketplace including customers, prospects, and competitors. Provides analysis, recommendations and reporting that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing, product development, brand and customer satisfaction work. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

Primary Objectives

Develops and directs primary qualitative and quantitative research to inform business decisions regarding brand, user experience, product development, innovation, customer experience monitoring and ad hoc research as required.

  • Managing and executing an ongoing Global Customer Experience Monitor program with experience in large scale monitors and satisfaction studies.
  • Analysing data using key statistical, visualization and research tools for example SPSS, R, Tableau, PowerBi, Qualtrics, Medallia etc.
  • Creating visually compelling presentations that effectively convey key messages, leveraging creativity and branding consistency.

Major areas of accountability

  • Identify strategic insights from either research or internal research data (TNPS, CSAT or usage data)
  • Communicate research results to client groups through insightful presentations
  • Formulate implications linking research findings to strategy recommendations
  • Project management of Client Experience programs across the organization
  • Internal survey creation and analysis where needed both for customers and employees
  • Manage time and budgets for key projects and client groups
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Financial markets
  • Continually developing processes & methodologies, ensuring the ongoing accuracy and effectiveness of outputs

Knowledge and skills

Market research experience within a corporate or research company of at least 8 to 10 years setting including:

  • Presentation of research findings and recommendations
  • Strong business acumen and analytical/visualization skills
  • Solid project management and organization skills
  • Proposal development
  • Experience working with senior management and making executive presentations
  • Experience with a survey tool including Advanced Excel, SPSS, R, Qualtrics or the like to generate actionable insights from large datasets
  • Presentations & Reports – Craft polished presentations, executive summaries that highlight research outcomes, guiding strategic decisions and reinforcing LSEG’s authority in financial domain.
  • Experience working on syndicated products will be a plus

Education

  • MBA in Marketing preferred or BTech from a top Institute
  • Certification in data analysis, visualization and research tool will be a plus
