Job Description

Appier is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of Inventory Partnerships to lead and grow supply-side efforts in the Japanese digital ecosystem. This role involves establishing and optimizing strategic relationships with SSPs, publishers, and data partners. Responsibilities include driving partnerships, collaborating with internal teams, analyzing data, overseeing technical integrations, and representing Appier in the Japanese adtech ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of programmatic advertising and monetization metrics, fluent in Japanese and English, with experience in building senior-level partnerships. This role is crucial for expanding Appier's presence in one of the most advanced digital markets.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in DSPs/SSPs like Moloco, The Trade Desk, LoopMe, Google AdMob.
  • Knowledge of the Japan digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Existing network of partners in Japan's digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools.
  • Comfort navigating technical conversations with product/engineering counterparts.
Must Have:

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager or Director of Inventory Partnerships to lead and scale our supply-side efforts in the Japanese digital ecosystem. This role focuses on establishing and optimizing strategic relationships with SSPs, publishers, and data partners, working cross-functionally to deliver quality, scalable inventory and long-term value.

This is a key role for candidates with strong programmatic knowledge, strong networks, and the drive to lead initiatives in one of the most advanced digital markets in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic partnerships with SSPs, exchanges, direct publishers, and mobile/web inventory partners in Japan.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to align supply initiatives with business needs.
    Analyze RTB data and monetization trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize inventory performance.
  • Oversee technical integrations (SDK, mediation, API) and manage the full partner lifecycle from onboarding to performance scaling.
  • Represent Appier in the Japanese adtech ecosystem—building thought leadership and trusted relationships.
  • Localize and execute global supply strategy for the Japan market.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence and partner feedback to influence product roadmap and operational planning.

About You

[Essential]

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in programmatic advertising, ad networks, or publisher-side partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of programmatic buying and monetization metrics: CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, etc.
  • Fluent in Japanese, with strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to negotiate and build senior-level partnerships.
  • Solid data-driven mindset; comfort working with bid-level data and partner performance reports.
  • Familiarity with SSP integration models, SDK setups, and mobile/web monetization tools.

[Nice to Have]

  • Experience in DSPs/SSPs like Moloco, The Trade Desk, LoopMe, Google AdMob, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Japan digital advertising ecosystem and publisher monetization trends.
  • Existing network of partners in Japan digital advertising ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Comfort navigating complex technical conversations with product/engineering counterparts.
