Job Description

As the Senior Manager, International Localization Dubbing EMEA, you will lead a team responsible for producing high-quality dubs in EMEA languages. You will manage vendor partners to ensure on-time delivery of episodic and marketing content, acting as a crucial communication link between various internal and external teams. This role involves proactive project management, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making to maintain creative and technical standards in a fast-paced environment.
Must Have:
  • Manage a team dedicated to producing dubs in EMEA languages.
  • Manage the quality and on-time delivery of episodic and marketing content and related asset deliverables.
  • Act as a vital communication bridge between translation, vendor, distribution, and programming teams for EMEA dubbing.
  • Lead your team through company growth and ensure all localized content meets licensors’ and Crunchyroll’s creative and technical standards.
  • Establish objective goals and measures of success for team members.
  • Maintain focus on timelines and escalate to Director where necessary.
  • Manage competing priorities and stakeholder communications in a timely manner.
  • Write POs and manage payments across all EMEA projects.
  • Partner with your Director to document dubbing workflows and SOPs.
  • Manage OKRs, metrics, and post-mortems to identify improvement opportunities.

About the role

As the Senior Manager, International Localization Dubbing EMEA, you will report to the Senior Director of International Dubbing

We are considering applicants for our London location.

You will manage a team dedicated to producing dubs in EMEA languages. Using vendor partners, you will manage the quality and on-time delivery of episodic and marketing content and related asset deliverables

You will also be a vital communication bridge between our translation, vendor, distribution, and programming teams for any topics related to EMEA dubbing. You will be an agent of change and a leading voice when new systems and processes are adopted

Your years of experience and expertise in localization will allow you to confidently lead your team through our company's growth. You will support your teams' efforts to ensure that all localized content meets our licensors’ and Crunchyroll’s creative and technical standards in an efficient and time-sensitive environment

  • Partner with your fellow team leads to understand needs and areas of opportunity
  • Establish objective goals and measures of success for team members, while inspiring them to innovate and explore change
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are running smoothly
  • Support a high-performing team by mentoring and coaching team members
  • Support the development and roll-out of new standards and information
  • Proactive Management
  • Maintain focus on timelines and escalate to your Director where necessary
  • Manage competing priorities and stakeholder communications in a timely manner to properly position projects in your team’s work queues.
  • Establish a process to proactively monitor, track, and report to enable successful communication with stakeholders
  • Write POs and manage payments across all EMEA projects
  • Future Planning & Standard Operating Procedures
  • Partner with your Director to document dubbing workflows and SOPs
  • Highlight improvements and opportunities to streamline and refine processes
  • Possess a deep understanding of our supply chain to identify solutions and improvements
  • Data Management
  • Manage OKRs, metrics, and post-mortems to identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead with data to drive efficiencies and provide insights

About You

  • 8+ years of related experience in media localization
  • Experience building, leading, and inspiring team members
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships
  • The ability to think creatively and solve problems diplomatically
  • English + French, German, Spanish, and/or Italian language skills
  • A passion for Anime, Japanese culture, and the Entertainment industry
  • Computer Proficiency: Google Suite, PowerPoint or Keynote, Airtable, and Internet
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience working in entertainment, localization, or production-related roles.
