TelevisaUnivision is seeking a seasonal Audio Operator for their Production Operations team in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves operating various audio broadcast equipment, including digital and analog consoles, managing microphones, audio playback, and ensuring proper VU levels. Responsibilities also include coordinating RF/wireless equipment, designing studio PA setups, and troubleshooting audio problems in a live television production environment.
Must Have:
  • Operate various audio broadcast equipment
  • Operate Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routers
  • Set up, check, and ensure microphones, audio, and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and equalization
  • Work with FB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX, and Cleanfeed
  • Design and load in all Studio and Exterior PA equipment
  • Coordinate all RF/Wireless equipment (microphones, IFB, PL) and studio foldback
  • Provide immediate solutions for equipment or audio problems

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

TelevisaUnivision is looking for an Audio Operator to join the Production Operations team.

The candidate will help our local productions technical operations team to achieve quality and success through their work as well as perform other duties as assigned by their manager.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

  • Operation of various audio broadcast equipment
  • Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routers.
  • Setting up, checking, and ensuring that all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and equalization.
  • FB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and Cleanfeed.
  • Design and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipment.
  • Coordination of all RF/Wireless equipment (i.e. microphones, IFB and PL) as well as studio foldback
  • Provide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other audio problems.

YOU HAVE:

  • 4+ years of audio experience in a live television production environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays
  • Working knowledge of television production operation equipment, lighting teleprompter, and studio cameras.
  • Must be reliable and be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with people while under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Process & detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills
  • Technical aptitude and always willing to learn
  • Adaptable to change in technology and environment
  • May include standing for many hours, operating human lift equipment, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, etc.
