Job Description

The Senior Manager Market Access will lead strategic market access initiatives for the Industrial Applications business in the US, reporting to the Sr. Director of Scientific Affairs and Market Access. This role involves monitoring regulatory evolution, collaborating with commercial operations to build relationships with key opinion leaders, and developing content for industry events. The manager will also focus on technology scouting, understanding market needs, identifying business development opportunities, and influencing regulatory and public health agencies. The position is remote and requires compliance with company quality standards.

Must Have:
  • Lead key strategic market access initiatives for the Industrial Applications business in the US.
  • Monitor, internal report, and align with regulatory evolution in the US.
  • Collaborate with US commercial operations to establish professional relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Prioritize and lead development and delivery of content at industry events (e.g., IAFP, PDA).
  • Perform technology scouting and provide guidance on technological trends.
  • Increase understanding of evolving market needs and identify business development opportunities.
  • Facilitate influence-building with regulatory/public health agencies, academic institutions, and industry members.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences discipline like Microbiology or similar, or 4 years related experience.
  • 5+ years of professional related experience working in Food Safety and/or Pharma Quality Control.
  • Experience working as a KOL.
  • Contributing member of a food safety and/or pharma quality control professional organization.

Description

Position Summary

The purpose of this job is to lead key strategic market access initiatives for the Industrial Applications business in the US. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Scientific Affairs and Market access in the North America market. Key collaborators will include the regional Commercial operations, Scientific Affairs and R&D teams. The position can be based remotely based.

Primary Duties

1. Be a regulatory watch and contribute to the Industrial Applications business strategy by monitoring, internal reporting, and aligning with the regulatory evolution in the US to support the industrial applications business interests across the US.

2. Collaborate with the US commercial operations team in establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders in various market segments, including those operating within customer, government, academia and regulatory/trade organizations, in order to advance bioMérieux industrial applications business objectives across the US.

3. Help prioritize and sometime lead the development and delivery of content at events (symposia, webinar, round-table discussions, etc.) including external pertinent organizations such as IAFP and PDA etc.

4. Technology scouting and guidance to business, Scientific Affairs and R&D on technological trends.

5. Increase the understanding of evolving market needs in various segments with the industrial applications business unit and identify potential business development opportunities.

6. Facilitate influence-building with the regulatory/public health agencies, pertinent academic institutions, and key industry members, including at the C-suite level

7. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

1. Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences discipline like Microbiology or similar is desired

2. Master's degree preferred

3. 4 years related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

Experience

1. 5+ years of professional related experience working in Food Safety and/or Pharma Quality Control to include:

1. Experience working as a KOL

2. Contributing member of a food safety and/or pharma quality control professional organization

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

1. Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.

2. Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.

3. Domestic Travel: 50%

4. International Travel: 10%
