The Senior Manager, Talent Management, EMEA will lead Morningstar's talent strategy across 16 countries in the EMEA region, contributing to global talent management. Based in London, this role involves fostering a learning culture, scaling people development programs, and responding to dynamic workforce changes. Responsibilities include understanding business development needs, supporting manager and leader development, participating in global talent process design, driving performance and talent management programs, and overseeing budgets.
Good To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, HR, Organizational Psychology or a related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA in similar fields or equivalent experience
Must Have:
  • Work with key business stakeholders to understand people development requirements across the region
  • Partner with P&C Business Partners and global talent management teams to diagnose, prioritize, and develop solutions
  • Support manager and leader development content creation based on regional needs
  • Help select and drive participation across the region for development programs
  • Participate in global design forums on talent and performance processes
  • Ensure regional requirements are incorporated into future state models and support rollout of changes
  • Drive the execution of performance management and talent management programs across the region
  • Meet the development needs and priorities of the region including delivering specific skills for teams
  • Oversee budgets and liaise with finance team for vendor payments and contracts
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events that foster team building, organizational cohesion, and knowledge sharing
  • Serve as a key member of both the EMEA P&C and global talent management leadership teams
  • 8-10 years learning & development or talent management experience
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and program design skills, with a proven ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Consultative approach, with the ability to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions
  • Experience influencing and collaborating across cultures, geographies, and organizational levels
  • Adept at managing complexity and ambiguity while delivering practical, scalable outcomes

The Role:

As the EMEA Talent Management Leader, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Morningstar’s talent strategy across the region, while also contributing to the global Talent Management function. Based in London, you will lead Talent Management for the EMEA region, spanning 16 countries. You will foster a culture of learning, scale our people development programs, and respond to the dynamic workforce changes across the region. This role reports to the Head of People & Culture, EMEA, with a matrix reporting line to the Global Head of Talent Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key business stakeholders to understand people development requirements across the region, partnering with P&C Business Partners and global talent management teams to diagnose, prioritize, and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Support manager and leader development content creation based on regional needs, helping to select and drive participation across the region. May require you to facilitate sessions locally either in person or virtually.
  • Participate in global design forums on talent and performance processes to ensure regional requirements are incorporated into future state models, support rollout of changes to core processes in the region.
  • Drive the execution of performance management and talent management programs across the region.
  • Meet the development needs and priorities of the region including delivering specific skills for teams. This may involve sourcing, selecting and overseeing external vendors to support delivery.
  • Oversee budgets and liaise with finance team for vendor payments and contracts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events that foster team building, organizational cohesion, and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as a key member of both the EMEA P&C and global talent management leadership teams to ensure alignment, integration, and knowledge exchange.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in management, HR, Organizational Psychology or a related field is preferred. Master’s degree or MBA in similar fields or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8-10 years learning & development or talent management experience
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and program design skills, with a proven ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Consultative approach, with the ability to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating across cultures, geographies, and organizational levels.
  • Adept at managing complexity and ambiguity while delivering practical, scalable outcomes.
