Senior Product Manager

The role in a nutshell:

As Chainguard evolves to support diverse product lines - Containers, Libraries, and VMs - we are seeking an experienced Product Manager (Platform & UX) to drive ownership and excellence across critical platform experiences. This role will focus on the Chainguard API, chainctl, Authentication and IAM, Org/Folder management, and Product & Feature Entitlements, in order to accelerate our platform’s growth and usability as we scale to meet cross-product, customer, and ecosystem needs.

What you’ll do:

• Drive product definition and roadmap: Translate user needs across Security, Platform, and Developer personas into actionable requirements for core surfaces (Console, Images Directory, CLI, API), ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives.
• Enhance user experience: Lead initiatives to improve critical user journeys and streamline interactions across Console, Images Directory, chainctl, and API.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product peers, Platform Engineering, UX Design & Research, Documentation, and Go-to-Market functions to deliver cohesive platform features balancing usability, compliance, enterprise requirements, and technical excellence.
• Champion customer and market insight: Engage with customers, analyze product telemetry, and track industry trends to guide product decisions and anticipate evolving platform needs.
• Manage execution and delivery: Define requirements, manage product backlogs, and prioritize development to ensure timely delivery of scalable, reliable, and impactful improvements to Console, chainctl, API, and Images Directory.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in cross-product platform management, ideally in cloud computing, SaaS, DevOps, or developer tooling environments.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to balance customer, business, and technical priorities.
• Experience delivering user-facing platforms and interfaces across console, CLI, and API surfaces.
• Familiarity with Authentication, IAM, and entitlement systems.

Base Salary Range

$155,000 - $200,000 USD
