AnaVation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex technical projects, collaborating with customer supervisors and technical staff. Responsibilities include enforcing work standards, managing schedules, supervising personnel, and communicating organizational goals. The role involves managing project teams, financial reports, staffing levels, and resolving issues. This hybrid position in Lorton, VA, requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access and a CI polygraph. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with mandatory activities and participate in status meetings.
Must have:

  • Five years managing technical projects
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of best practices in information system programs management
  • Experience in complete program development
  • Ability to provide program guidance and oversight
  • Experience handling complex customer requirements
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Extensive experience managing government contracts
  • Active Top Secret clearance

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work closely with customer supervisors, product owners, and AnaVation technical staff to develop and deliver complex technical projects. Functional responsibilities include formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning program schedules, reviewing work, supervising program personnel, and communicating policies, purpose, and goals of the organization to subordinates. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing protect team staff, reviewing financial reports, preparing Monthly Status Reports, maintaining adequate staffing levels, demonstrating leadership and support to accomplish all tasks and activities identified in the task order, communicating priorities and expectations to staff, identifying and resolving issues/conflicts within the project team, managing funding and staffing level of effort projections, facilitating procurements, and hiring and onboarding new staff. The successful candidate will also participate in weekly/monthly status meetings with the respective government program manager and contracting officer representative, and ensuring compliance with mandatory activities (e.g., training, travel, security procedures, etc.)

This position is currently hybrid with one half-time serving (~20 hours per week) with our customer on-site in Lorton, VA. Remote status is subject to change at the customer’s direction but is expected to continue. There may also be several meetings/workshops throughout the year where team members will collaborate on-site for one to two weeks.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access and a CI polygraph.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree or Bachelor of Arts degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in relevant fields, and five (5) years of experience managing technical projects and programs as the single authorized interface with government management personnel.
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is required; and knowledge of best practices in the management and control of personnel, funds, and resources for directing information system programs.
  • Experience in complete program development from inception to deployment with the demonstrated ability to provide guidance, oversight, and direction at the program level.
  • Extensive experience handling complex and conflicting customer requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience managing government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycles, IT infrastructure, and technical concepts.
  • Knowledge of digital forensic domain.
  • Computer Network Operations familiarity.
