As a valued member of the Private Markets Research team, this position plays a critical role in Russell Investments’ investment manager evaluation and portfolio management processes. The research team is responsible for evaluating, ranking, and recommending investment strategies managed by external asset managers, supporting key investment decisions across the firm’s discretionary funds and institutional client portfolios. The Senior Research Analyst will contribute directly to investment performance by identifying high-quality investment strategies, offering thoughtful insights, and partnering closely with internal portfolio managers and other stakeholders across the Investment Division.
This is a high-impact role where your work will shape global investment outcomes and inform some of the most important decisions made on behalf of our clients. We are looking for an experienced professional who brings analytical strength, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills—someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by both independent research and teamwork. Success in this role means applying sound judgment, curiosity, and critical thinking to help us deliver strong, long-term results.
The purpose of this position is to analyze private markets managers, with a strong preference/emphasis on private equity strategies (buyout, growth equity, venture, secondaries, etc.) and real assets (unlisted infrastructure, natural resources, secondaries, etc.) to make specific recommendations to Russell's fiduciary and global advisory clients. The senior research analyst at this level will be "rank owner" for a set of managers with a significant level of impact on the success of Russell's overall research effort.
