Russell’s Technology Application Services team is looking for an exceptional application developer to deliver highly scalable services and world-class product experiences. You will have opportunities to work on multiple layers of the technology stack, ranging from customer-focused user experience, greenfield middle-tier services, and intelligent data solutions. You will collaborate with team members and other development teams at Russell to build full stack applications and services that wow users. You excel in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile software development environment. You will learn and incorporate Russell IT standards, tooling, and practices while working to improve Russell’s software code quality, performance, and delivery.

Years of Experience

• 7+ years of RPA development experience
• 3 years financial services experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering field required. Advanced degree preferred
• Hands-on experience with, at least one leading RPA tool like Power Automate or Automation Anywhere
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C# and knowledge of Restful APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with all domains and seniority levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyse current business processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and deploy RPA solutions using tools like Power Automate / Automation Anywhere / Blue Prism.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including process design documents (PDDs) and solution design documents (SDDs).
• Integrate RPA solutions with various applications such as web/desktop application, databases, and APIs.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot bots to ensure smooth operation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver robust automation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal security and coding standards.
• Design and deliver maintainable, testable, and reusable production quality code in a corporate financial environment using Agile development practices
• Use technical expertise combined with business acumen to envision and implement solutions to strategic business challenges, thereby using technology to differentiate Russell Investments in the market.
• Conceptualize and be able to articulate solutions to team members and clients
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize automation solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience collaborating with multiple teams, including business unit teams, to deliver solutions through all aspects of the SDLC required
• Strong proficiency in delivering RPA solutions using tools such as Power Automate, along with solid database expertise.
• Act as a primary contact for users to address development questions and concerns
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies required
• Proven ability to stay current with emerging technologies as well as with new applications of existing technologies through work experience, academics, or self-study required
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery required
• SQL database schema design experience required
• Experience with Git version control preferred
