Marvell is seeking a Senior RTL Design Engineer to join a team developing AI/ML solutions. This role involves shaping the micro-architecture of cores and accelerator blocks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and writing specifications. Responsibilities include implementing designs using RTL coding, synthesis, place and route, and timing signoff. The engineer will also work with verification and physical design teams, and assist post-silicon groups in resolving lab or customer issues.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
  • Familiarity with Digital IC design methodologies
  • Understanding of all stages of ASIC design flows
  • Experience with state-of-the-art design tools
  • Strong in logic design and verification
  • Solid knowledge of related VLSI architectures
  • Strong Knowledge of HDL and experience in behavioral and RTL coding (Verilog preferred)
  • Strong Knowledge of logic synthesis and timing analysis
  • Coursework relating to foundational principles of circuit design, circuit theory, digital logic design, or electronics
  • Ability to work well on a team and share knowledge

What You Can Expect

  • Be a member of a design-team developing Marvell’s AL/ML solutions. In this role, you’ll help shape the micro-architecture of the cores and accelerator blocks working closely with the architecture, systems, software and other cross functional teams.
  • You’ll write specifications for the relevant block, develop micro-architecture of the blocks.
  • Implement the design using good RTL coding techniques, Synthesis, place and route, and timing signoff.
  • Work with the Verification team on pre-silicon verification tasks such as reviewing the verification test plan, coverage analysis, and full-chip simulation plus debug.
  • Work with the physical design teams in aiding the implementation of the functional blocks.
  • Work with post silicon group to resolve any lab issues or customer issue

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field. Degrees in mathematics, physics or other sciences may be considered provided adequate coursework in electronics was taken also or work experience has provided relevant knowledge since graduation.
  • You must be familiar with Digital IC design methodologies, understand all stages of ASIC design flows, and experienced with state-of-the-art design tools. You will be strong in logic design and verification, and have solid knowledge of related VLSI architectures.

• Strong Knowledge of HDL and experience in behavioral and RTL coding, Verilog preferred.

• Strong Knowledge of logic synthesis and timing analysis

  • Have coursework relating to foundational principles of circuit design, circuit theory, digital logic design, or electronics.
  • Work well on a team and be prepared to share your knowledge with others.
