Job Description

We are seeking a Senior or Strong Middle Ruby Backend Developer to maintain and enhance an existing platform for a US-based company. Responsibilities include optimizing platform performance, troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, delivering high-quality code, maintaining Confluence documentation, and managing Jira tasks. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR) and be comfortable using Jira and Confluence. Experience supporting and improving legacy systems is highly desirable. This role offers a flexible working format (remote, office-based, or flexible).

Must have:

5+ years Ruby on Rails (Senior), 3+ years (Middle)
Strong backend development & relational database knowledge
Jira & Confluence proficiency
Independent work in remote/distributed team
Excellent debugging & problem-solving skills

We are seeking a Senior or Strong Middle Ruby Backend Developer to support the maintenance and enhancement of an existing platform for a US-based company. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR) and be comfortable using Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and optimize the performance of the existing platform.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
Deliver high-quality code that aligns with project goals and timelines.
Maintain comprehensive documentation using Confluence.
Manage tasks and project workflows in Jira.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails for senior candidates; 3+ years for strong middle-level candidates.
Strong knowledge of backend development principles and relational databases.
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote/distributed team environment.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting and improving legacy systems is highly desirable.
