This Senior Sales Specialist role is within Proofpoint's high-growth Advanced Technologies business unit, focusing on protecting customers from risks related to activity, behavior, and data loss across endpoints, network, and Cloud. The specialist will be the primary sales interface for Southern EMEA, driving growth for solutions like Email Fraud Defence, Adaptive Email DLP, and Secure Email Relay. This quota-carrying role requires strategic thinking, collaboration with internal teams and channels, accurate financial forecasting, and strong customer engagement to acquire new customers and ensure satisfaction.

  • Provide a long-term plan for the growth of the region which will guide all monthly and quarterly activities.
  • Work with other company resources to implement the strategic plan though an effective sales engagement process.
  • Provide accurate and ongoing financial forecasting that meets both short-term and long-term growth goals.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure all business and technical goals are met, and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.
  • Work with prospects in the region to generate demand, create pipeline, and acquire new customers.
  • Help support a culture of accountability and fun.
  • Experience developing financial and addressable market plans, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
  • Success with demand generation activities, customer meetings and presentations, and overall financial growth of the region.
  • Effective channel engagement process driving scale and growth through indirect sales motions.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills supporting effective customer and prospect engagement, internal alignment, and success as the ambassador for the Information Protection business unit in the region.
  • Successful track record of growing the French / Italian enterprise market with leading technological and security solutions.
  • Fluent English and French required.

Our Advanced Technologies business unit is one of the highest growth unit in the company. We are looking for a successful Senior Sales Specialist who will be the primary sales interface to our customers and prospects in the Southern EMEA region. Reporting to the EMEA Head of our Advanced Technologies business unit, this role will work collectively with the Proofpoint sales teams, as well as direct customer engagement in the region, to drive growth in a variety of our Advanced Technologies suite of solutions like Email Fraud Defence, Adaptive Email DLP, Secure Email Relay and other fantastic new products we have in the pipeline.

This role will create a strategy based on the addressable market, align the needed resources to support that strategy (internal teams, channel, distribution), and work cross-functionally to deliver some of the most exciting and innovative solutions in the industry. This quota carrying role will be joining one of the fastest growing regions in the company, in the fastest growing business unit. As such, this role is vital to the success of the region and any candidate should be self-motivated and results oriented.
