Autodesk is building an AI-first application platform for design-and-make software, creating an agent-driven workspace. This role in Pune involves designing and building agentic workflows, developing data models, and utilizing Python and other data manipulation languages. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-organizational teams, translate business requirements into solution designs, and contribute to process improvements, delivering high-impact solutions used by millions worldwide.
Must Have
- Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to design and build agentic workflows
- Develop and refine data models to ensure successful project delivery
- Utilize Python and other data manipulation languages proficiently to prepare and manipulate data
- Understand the business requirements and translate into solution design
- Partner with product owners, software architects and other software engineers
- Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing software using Python and/or TypeScript
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Practical experience building and operating AI-enabled workflows on AWS, including services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway
- Solid foundation in machine learning concepts, including data mining, predictive modeling, and applied ML techniques
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, development lifecycles, and the tools and platforms used to build, deploy, and scale ML systems
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically to solve complex technical challenges

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to design and build agentic workflows, developing and refining data models to ensure successful project delivery
- Utilize Python and other data manipulation languages proficiently to prepare and manipulate data
- Understand the business requirements and translate into solution design that successfully meets the business objectives
- Partner with product owners, software architects and other software engineers to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally
- Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness of the team in responding to customers and our needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing software using Python and/or TypeScript, with strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Practical experience building and operating AI-enabled workflows on AWS, including services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway
