Job Description

The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and testing embedded software. Responsibilities include performing manual and automated verification of software functionality, ensuring designs comply with specifications, documenting implemented software, and debugging embedded system issues. The position requires applying functional and object-oriented coding practices in Linux-based systems, continuously improving software, and collaborating with customer support to investigate field issues. A strong emphasis is placed on working in a collaborative environment and good English communication skills.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, implement and test embedded software
  • Perform manual and automated verification of software functionality
  • Test designs to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Document implemented software
  • Debug and troubleshoot embedded system issues
  • Apply functional and object-oriented coding practices in Linux based systems
  • Sustainable improvement of the software
  • Work with customer support to investigate field issues
  • Academic degree in Informatics, Software Engineering or similar
  • Good C/C++ programming skills
  • Fluency in Linux shell
  • Debugging software (GDB, code inspection, logging, etc.)
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with Source Configuration management tools (Git, Subversion)
  • Good English communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in Python as a programming language
  • Knowledge of optical networking
  • Experience in designing or development of real time applications
  • Practical knowledge of inter-process-communication mechanism
