Senior Software Engineer

Ikigai Labs is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join their high-performing data platform development team. The role involves conceptualizing new features with Product Managers and Designers, collaborating with other engineering teams, and troubleshooting production issues. The engineer will act as a technical leader, making significant contributions to projects from conception to completion, and overseeing the full systems development lifecycle. The platform leverages generative AI for tabular data, built on proprietary foundation blocks from MIT research.

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Advanced knowledge of Typescript
• Advanced knowledge of React and state management libraries
• Experience using/consuming REST APIs with client-server interaction
• Experience with AGILE/Scrum development methods
• Expert level problem solving & communication skills
• Ability to commit to a hybrid work schedule in Cambridge, MA
• Currently authorized to work in the United States

Good to Have

• Proficiency in SQL/relational databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Kubernetes

We require candidates to have extensive experience with React TypeScript and an expert level knack for solving complex problems within our engineering organization.

ROLE:

• You'll brainstorm with Product Managers and Designers to conceptualize new features and solutions
• You'll collaborate with other teams within engineering to build new features for our growing user base
• You'll work with our support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues
• You’ll act as a technical leader by making significant technical contributions to the planning and implementation of mid to large-scale projects from conception to completion
• You’ll act as a subject matter expert within the organization while resolving complex technical issues or challenges
• You’ll oversee the full systems development lifecycle - including system architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing + documentation, and maintenance

TECHNOLOGIES:

• Languages: TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Frameworks: React.js, RTK Query, Redux, Playwright
• Misc.: Git, Figma, Lens, Postman/Insomnia, Lens

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience
