Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Software Developer to lead the development of a robust end-to-end automation framework and actively contribute to feature development for our core platform. This role demands strong technical expertise in Cypress, Jest, JavaScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS, along with a deep understanding of testing strategy, quality engineering, and agile product development. Responsibilities include designing and implementing automation frameworks, leading automation initiatives, developing high-quality features, collaborating with various teams, managing risks, participating in code reviews, and supporting on-call rotation for production incidents.
Must have:
  • Design and implement a robust end-to-end test automation framework using Cypress and Jest.
  • Lead automation initiatives to enhance test coverage, minimize manual testing, and ensure platform stability.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable features utilizing JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
  • Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in both feature development and test framework design.
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Actively support the on-call rotation for production incident response, ensuring the high availability of our systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in building and maintaining complex, scalable software applications.
  • Proven experience in designing and building automation frameworks with Cypress and Jest.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS, and professional experience using ReactJS.
  • Experience in building and testing RESTful APIs and web applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced and highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer to lead the development of a robust end-to-end automation framework and actively contribute to feature development for our core platform. This role demands strong technical expertise in Cypress, Jest, JavaScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS, along with a deep understanding of testing strategy, quality engineering, and agile product development.

Responsibilities

  • Automation Design & Implementation: Design and implement a robust end-to-end test automation framework using Cypress and Jest
  • Automation Leadership: Lead automation initiatives to enhance test coverage, minimize manual testing, and ensure platform stability
  • Feature Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable features utilizing JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS
  • Collaboration: Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in both feature development and test framework design
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Incident Response: Actively support the on-call rotation for production incident response, ensuring the high availability of our systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in building and maintaining complex, scalable software applications
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in designing and building automation frameworks with Cypress and Jest. Strong expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS, and professional experience using ReactJS
  • API Development: Experience in building and testing RESTful APIs and web applications
  • Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
