This role at Enphase requires working onsite 3 days a week, with plans to transition back to a full 5 day in office schedule over time.

About the role

Enphase is building a globally distributed ecommerce platform built using Single Page Application frontend technology integrated with headless Magento 2 platform. This is part of the digital transformation program to transform the customer experience. The objective is to provide a world class platform and outstanding customer experience to Enphase customers, across the globe. This is envisaged to be fully integrated into the digital transformation and experience journey of both homeowners and installers, and also distributers of Enphase. The engineer will be involved in developing various features of the Enphase store and also integrating with various other platforms to build seamless customer experience.

What you will be doing

The engineer will be responsible to design, develop and maintain the ecommerce frontend application. This role will involve driving the development and delivery of various features, based on inputs from the program and marketing team. This role will also involve investigating various requirements from business teams, based on the geo-expansion requirements. The Enphase store is developed on magento ecommerce platform and is heavily customized to suit Enphase customer requirements. The candidate will be involved in developing backend APIs on Magento framework and single page application frontend for our ecommerce offering which will be integrated with the headless Magento framework via RESTful APIs.

Who you are and what you bring

• BE /BTech in Computer Science or related discipline from Top Tier Engineering College
• 3+ years of experience in various latest PHP frameworks, with a focus on web and mobile web
• Ability to develop Rich UI components with the latest JavaScript based frameworks including ReactJS
• Proven coding experience in the following languages: HTML, HTLM5, CSS, CSS3, JS, jQuery, PHP
• Building a responsive UI layout for web and mobile application pages using bootstrap
• Familiarity working with E-commerce application/frameworks is highly desirable
• Knowledge in Linux shell scripts will be a bonus
• Experienced developer to work on front end pages, application navigation, application flow, charts, mobile web, front end UI visual presentation of data in various formats
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• Experience working within an agile environment
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles
• Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment, requiring minimal directions/supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills with sense of urgency and ownership
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work and coordinate across cross-functional teams
• Strong documentation, communication and presentation skills
• Collaborate with the development team, architect, product manager, and UX designer to convert the mock to web / mobile application pages/flow/visual representation
• Conduct feasibility of design mockups in selected JavaScript and backend frameworks. Collaborate with the team to implement features end to end
• Design graphical user interfaces elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Identify and troubleshoot UI problems (e.g. responsiveness, cross-platform issues, browser quirks etc)
• Able to identify and resolve web Api performance issues
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images as per the company requirements
