Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working in the Streaming team to develop a global and reliable full stack observability framework. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a reliable full stack observability platform with a focus on security, performance and scale to meet the requirements of our Enterprise customers and help internal engineering teams keep up with the ever-increasing amount of data gathered by our platform. This includes developing and maintaining frontend services, supporting customer-facing and internal support pages, and leading cross-team projects. You will also participate in on-call rotation and support our production systems.
Must have:
  • Experience with Javascript and/or TypeScript
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience with enterprise build tools (gradle, npm, etc)
  • Knowledge and use of datastores (relational/SQL and non-relational/NoSQL)
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
  • Proactively identifying and resolving risks in production systems
Good to have:
  • Knowledge and use of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
  • Proficiency with Java
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BG)

Job Details

Please note that we have a hybrid approach to work and would like to find someone who can come into our offices in Lisbon or Crete at least one day per week.

 

What You’ll Do

You'll be working in the Streaming team, our goal is to deliver a global and reliable full stack observability framework where our customers can take full advantage of our state-of-the-art real-time network monitoring technology that measures, correlates, and visualizes synthetic data about global network conditions and be able to correlate these with Application Performance Monitoring data.
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a reliable full stack observability platform with a focus on security, performance and scale to help meet the requirements of our Enterprise customers and help internal engineering teams keeping up with the ever-increasing amount of data gathered by our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features for and maintain our frontend services
  • Support our customer-facing web pages and internal support pages
  • Lead and plan cross-team projects in our roadmap
  • Regularly learn and share relevant technical knowledge within and outside of the team
  • Participate in our on-call rotation and support our production systems

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Javascript and/or TypeScript
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience with enterprise build tools (gradle, npm, etc)
  • Knowledge and use of datastores (relational/SQL and non-relational/NoSQL)
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
  • An eye for proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues in production systems
  • Ability to mentor peers and other members of the team

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and use of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
  • Proficiency with Java
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BG)
