Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and optimize features for a multiplayer strategy battler. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients, coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality systems.

Must Have

Work closely with clients to define game features and system requirements
Implement, test, debug, and maintain source code
Review work of other engineers and provide constructive guidance
Deliver high quality, functional systems on time and to specification
5+ years professional game development experience
Professional software development experience in JavaScript
Professional software development experience in C++
Strong programming and software architecture skills
Experience developing software using agile methodologies

Job Description

Want to work on a leading multiplayer strategy battler for PC and mobile devices with a beloved brand? We're looking for an outstanding engineer to develop features and optimize experiences for a live product with a huge and passionate audience. Our development teams are cohesive, highly skilled and well-supported. Come join us!

Responsibilities:

Work closely with our clients to understand and define game features and system requirements
Implement, test, debug and maintain source code
Review the work of other engineers and provide constructive guidance in a highly collaborative environment
Provide ongoing support to artists and designers
Deliver high quality, functional systems on time and to specification
Make educated trade-offs among scope, quality and pace
Author technical design documents for the team which specify what will be developed and how
Provide time estimates and development plans for feature development
Think creatively and work proactively to solve any blocking issues for yourself and your teammates

Required Qualifications:

5+ years professional game development experience
Professional software development experience in JavaScript
Professional software development experience in C++
Strong programming and software architecture skills
Experience developing software using agile methodologies
Demonstrated ability to apply software engineering practices to maintain code quality
Demonstrated ability to achieve development goals with minimal supervision
BS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.), or equivalent experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
