Senior Software Technical Writer, Apple Services Engineering

The Apple Services Engineering Documentation team is seeking a highly-motivated technical writer to contribute to current and future services. This role involves creating content for engineering, QA, UI design, customer support, and external developers. Key areas of documentation include task-oriented user documentation, systems architectures, API documentation, and UX writing, supporting the innovation that runs through everything Apple does.

Must Have

• More than three years of technical writing experience documenting complex applications
• A degree in Technical Communication
• Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and peers on the documentation team
• Quickly understand and document complex software and related tools
• Demonstrate an ability to create well-written, structured, detailed specifications that incorporate feedback
• Plan and manage documentation projects with shifting requirements and goals

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud tools such as GCS, AWS, or Azure
• Experience with AI tool integrations

The technical writer creates content for engineering, QA, UI design, customer support, and external developers. We primarily develop content in the following areas: Task-oriented user documentation Systems architectures API documentation UX writing

• Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and peers on the documentation team.
• Quickly understand and document complex software and related tools.
• Demonstrate an ability to create well-written, structured, detailed specifications that incorporate feedback.
• Plan and manage documentation projects with shifting requirements and goals.
• More than three years of technical writing experience documenting complex applications, and a degree in Technical Communication.
