Senior Staff Engineer / Engineering Manager (Full Stack)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Engineer or Engineering Manager to join our fast-paced, product-focused team. The ideal candidate will have a strong full-stack engineering background combined with a proven track record in technical leadership and system architecture. You’ll play a critical role in shaping engineering strategies and building scalable, high-performance systems using technologies like React, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deliver high-quality full-stack applications
• Define and drive the technical roadmap and overall engineering strategy
• Lead by example in solving complex technical challenges and delivering robust solutions
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to build and scale products
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices
• Conduct code reviews, promote quality, and ensure adherence to standards
• Drive initiatives on performance, scalability, and security of applications
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and development practices, driving adoption where beneficial

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12–16 years of experience in software development
• At least 5 years of recent hands-on experience with React
• 4+ years of experience with Node.js
• 4+ years with TypeScript
• Strong expertise in GraphQL and API design
• Solid understanding and experience with AWS services and infrastructure
• Minimum 4 years of experience with CDN tools (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, AWS CloudFront)
• Proven experience in system architecture and design
• Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams (include team size and duration)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in insurance, fintech, or enterprise product companies
• Strong focus on scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern monitoring tools
