Job Description

This role requires a Senior Technical Artist to work with an art team to design the art work pipeline of game character skeleton rigging and costume changes. The candidate will be responsible for designing art resource specifications of character skeleton rigging and mesh topological deformation. They will also design and produce animation splitting, and perform action blueprint logic configuration and physical configuration in Unreal Engine. In addition, the candidate will work with the art and engine teams to solve various bugs during project development, discover problems in the art pipeline, and develop tools to improve the efficiency of art workflow. The candidate will also work with the art and engine teams to develop new tools and new features for game engines, develop sample projects, and promote and apply technology.

Must Have:
  • Strong artistic background
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • High-level familiarity with DCC tools (3Dmax or Maya, Excellent in Maya is a plus, Motion Builder, etc.)
  • Intermediate skeletal rigging experience
  • Intermediate programming experience
  • High-level familiarity with Unreal Engine
  • Excellent experience in the art production process
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Strong artistic background, good understanding of Shots, Dynamic, Expressive, rhythm, etc;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, High-level familiarity with DCC tools (3Dmax or Maya, Excellent in maya is a plus, Motion Builder, etc.);
  • Intermediate skeletal rigging experience with 2-legged, multi-legged creatures and mechanical hard surface;
  • Intermediate programming experience with scripting languages (Python, Vex etc.) and plug-in tools development;
  • High-level familiarity with Unreal Engine and skeletal, physics, animation BP;
  • Excellent experience in the art production process specifications such as the expressions and costume changes of characters in the game, and familiar with the motion capture process;
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, the ability to adapt to new creative challenges, helpful and willing to share;

Requirements:
