As a Senior Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying automated test equipment and tools for mass production, engineering validation, and supplier testing of cutting-edge wearable technology. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing, Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, and Sensor Intelligence—to ensure robust and efficient test solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define overall test strategies and lead design-for-test (DFT) efforts throughout the product development cycle.
    • Design and develop electrical and control systems for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used in mass production.
    • Develop test fixtures for subsystem- or component-level validation during new product introduction (NPI).
    • Improve test coverage and optimize fixtures to enhance reliability and reduce test cycle time.
    • Create and maintain procedures for manufacturing testing, including fixture qualification, calibration, maintenance, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
    • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external factory partners to support test fixture bring-up, troubleshoot issues, drive yield improvements, and analyze results.
    • Perform root cause analysis and apply data analytics to implement corrective actions across test systems.
    • Coordinate contingency plans for high-risk milestones via parallel path development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
    • 5+ years of experience in electrical design or test system development.
    • Strong understanding of communication protocols such as UART, I2C, USB, Bluetooth, and NFC.
    • Proficiency in Altium for schematic design, PCB layout, and simulation.
    • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or C/C++.
    • Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs) and joint development manufacturers (JDMs), both domestically and internationally.
    • Experience in consumer electronics or wearable technology is preferred.
    • Ability to travel up to 15%, both domestically and internationally.
