DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independent preparation and submission of VAT returns within various jurisdictions of the EMEA region,
Independent preparation and submission of standard Intrastat reports, summary information and any other VAT-related reports
Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of VAT,
Perform VAT related reconciliations,
Participate in transitions of VAT tasks and responsibilities by the EMEA VAT Center of Excellence department
Support other functions in the area of VAT, for example in relation to tax audits and management reporting,
Cooperate with finance and tax staff as well as external service providers,
Participate in design and implementing standardized procedures and continuous improvement projects in the EMEA Region,
Assistance on the ERP systems modifications to reflect changes both in legislation and business transactions.
Initiation and implementation of improvements in EMEA VAT Center of Excellence processes.
Support of other team members in improvements and migrations of VAT processes and ensuring proper and effective internal processes and procedures in EMEA VAT Center of Excellence
Timely performance of assigned tasks in accordance with the applicable quality system of the Aptiv Corporation and the Technical Centre in Kraków
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 year experience in VAT and accounting (preferably in a shared services or multinational company)
Minimum 3 year experience in preparation of VAT returns (GST returns) for different legislations
SAP/Oracle working knowledge
Advanced Excel user
Good command of English
Fast learner with proactive approach to adopt changes
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in either of the following areas: Finance/Tax/Accounting/Economics or certified accountant degree/ tax advisor
Good command of other European language
SAP tax settings skills
