The Opportunity
IGN is looking for an SEO Coordinator to join our Audience Development team! In this entry-level role, you will implement and execute SEO initiatives in line with IGN’s overall SEO strategies, reporting to the SEO lead, and in close cooperation with Commerce and Editorial leadership.
Job Duties
See through main SEO duties, contribute day-to-day trends, contribute ideas to improve organic traffic and rankings, and track performance ongoing across SEO initiatives.
- Optimize site content with SEO in mind, using hands-on tactics, updates, editing and
internal linking - Perform keyword research using various tools to identify what our audience is searching
for and share them across relevant teams - Perform competitive and broader audience analysis as needed
- Assist Audience Development Manager with SEO audits and reporting
- Perform technical SEO tasks, working with Product and Engineering teams at times
Requirements and skills you need:
- This is an entry-level SEO position; previous professional experience in SEO is not
required - Excellent editing and writing skills
- Industry knowledge in gaming, entertainment and tech
- Experience analyzing data in Google Sheets, Docs and related platforms
- Understanding of the media landscape
- Basic understanding of SEO in terms of content creation and optimization
It would be extra awesome if you have...
- BA in Communications, Journalism or related field
- Some experience using SEO tools (such as Botify, ScreamingFrog, Ahrefs)
- General interest in writing original content or jumping in as needed is a plus!
- Experience as an IGN reader/watcher and active community member

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $55-65k, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
