Job Description

CAE is a global leader in training for civil aviation and defense and security. The Servicing Technician is responsible for servicing duties, including marshalling, parking, securing, towing, and starting aircraft. The role also involves refueling and replenishing aircraft systems, operating light special purpose and general purpose vehicles, configuring aircraft for solo/dual configurations, preparing aircraft for static display, washing aircraft and associated components, inflating tires, and maintaining tools and equipment. Additionally, the technician will perform elementary tasks as authorized and carry out workplace inspections and clean-ups. This role plays a crucial part in CAE's mission to enhance safety and readiness on a global scale.
Must have:
  • Marshall, park, secure, tow and start aircraft
  • Refuel and replenish aircraft systems
  • Operate light special purpose and general purpose vehicles
  • Configure aircraft
  • Prepare aircraft for static display
  • Wash aircraft and associated components
  • Inflate tires
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Perform elementary tasks
  • Carry out workplace inspections and clean up
  • Proven experience as a team player
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and/or overtime
  • Possess a valid driver's license

  • Aviation and/or flight line experience
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, production line, cars, trucks, lift trucks
  • Experience working with common hand tools
  • Outdoor experience

CAE is a global leader in training for civil aviation and defence and security. CAE is the prime contractor responsible for the NATO Flying Training in Canada’s (NFTC) program as well as the Future Air Crew Training (FACT) program, in Moose Jaw, SK, that produces qualified military pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and other global defence customers. CAE operates the NFTC base facilities, delivers the ground-school classroom and simulator training, and supports the live flying training on a fleet of Beechcraft T-6 (CT-156 Harvard) trainer aircrafts. The comprehensive academic, simulator and live flying training are integrated as part of this world-class, turnkey training system.

 

The Servicing Technician is responsible for servicing duties. 

 

In your role, you will: 

  • Marshall, park, secure, tow and start aircraft; 

  • Refuel and replenish aircraft systems; 

  • Operate light special purpose and general purpose vehicles; 

  • Configure aircraft (solo/dual configurations); 

  • Prepare aircraft for static display; 

  • Wash aircraft and associated components; 

  • Inflate tires; 

  • Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties; 

  • Perform elementary tasks as authorized; 

  • Carry out workplace inspections and clean up 

 

Our ideal candidate has:

Education:

  • Grade 12 

  • Preference given to those who have completed secondary education 

 

Experience 

  • Aviation and/or flight line experience preferred 

  • Experience working with equipment such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, production line, cars, trucks, lift trucks, etc. an asset; 

  • Experience working with common hand tools; 

  • Outdoor experience an asset; 

 

Other required training or skills 

  • Proven experience as a team player 

  • Good oral and written communication skills; 

  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and/or overtime as required 

  • Possess a valid driver’s license 

 

Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulationsMust be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance.
