Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking a Sidney Fernbach Postdoctoral Fellow in Computing Sciences. This prestigious fellowship is for one exceptional candidate with a strong scientific track record and potential for significant achievements in computational mathematics, scientific computing, computer science, data science, or AI for science. The fellow will conduct original, independent research, report findings in seminars and conferences, and publish in refereed journals, leveraging LLNL's cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research environment and world-class HPC resources.

Pay Range:

$11,890 – $13,100 Monthly for the PDS.4

Job Description

We are looking for a Sidney Fernbach Postdoctoral Fellowship candidate in the Computing Sciences. This fellowship is a prestigious postdoctoral position that will be awarded to one candidate with exceptional talent, scientific track record, and potential for significant achievements in computational mathematics, scientific computing, computer science, data science and/or AI for science. Details of the fellowship may be found at https://computing.llnl.gov/fernbach. You will have the freedom to pursue your own original research in one or more aspects of computing sciences. You will work in a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research environment with accomplished researchers, and have access to Livermore Computing’s world-class HPC environment. This position will be closed to applicants after November 21, 2025.

In this role you will
