Job Description

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Services Sales and Delivery teams by facilitating the creation, processing, and execution of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change Requests (CRs) for Professional Services engagements. These engagements play a critical role in deepening customer relationships and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of software solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure compliance, manage approvals, and maintain documentation. The role also involves supporting forecasting, improving templates, gathering feedback, and optimizing time-to-contract workflows.
Must have:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to account teams, supporting end-to-end commercial processing of SOWs and CRs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Services Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Management for alignment.
  • Support customer and prospect engagement for contract development and processing needs.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with account teams and customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve customer issues related to commercial processing.
  • Ensure all SOWs and CRs comply with internal policies, legal guidelines, and pricing governance.
  • Manage routing and tracking of commercial documents through approval workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all commercial documents for audit readiness.
  • Provide input to sales and services leadership on deal pipeline, volume, and trends.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving templates, checklists, and tools for commercial documents.
  • Actively gather feedback from account teams and customers to propose process enhancements.
  • Work towards streamlining deal desk workflows to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiency.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, consulting, or a similar client-facing role
  • Experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Professional Services environment
  • Familiarity with supporting services or SaaS-based offerings
  • Exposure to sales enablement or customer success functions
  • Familiar with CRM tools such as Salesforce

Job Details

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Blue Yonder’s account teams, collaborating closely to understand their business needs and support end-to-end commercial processing of SOWs and CRs for solutions valued under $100K.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Services Sales, Services Pre-Sales, and Project Management to ensure alignment of scope, pricing, and deliverables.
  • Support customer and prospect engagement for contract development and processing needs as requested by the field teams.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with account teams and customers to ensure satisfaction with commercial documentation and uncover opportunities for additional services.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve customer issues related to commercial processing.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify all SOWs and CRs comply with internal policies, legal guidelines, and pricing governance before submission for approval or signature.
  • Coordinate Approvals: Manage routing and tracking of commercial documents through the appropriate approval workflows.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of all commercial documents, approvals, and communications for audit readiness and internal transparency.
  • Support Forecasting & Reporting: Provide input to sales and services leadership on deal pipeline, volume, and trends based on processed documents and customer activity.
  • Template and Tool Management: Assist in maintaining and improving templates, checklists, and tools used in commercial document creation and processing.
  • Feedback Loop: Actively gather feedback from account teams and customers to identify pain points and propose process enhancements.
  • Time-to-Contract Optimization: Work towards streamlining deal desk workflows to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiency and actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of deal desk processes, documentation standards, and best practices.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams and with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective commercial solutions.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and systems is a strong plus.
  • Experience using Generative AI tools to streamline or support commercial processes is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Flexibility to support regional time zones and collaborate with global teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, consulting, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Any experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Professional Services environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with supporting services or SaaS-based offerings is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to sales enablement or customer success functions is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with CRM tools such as Salesforce
