Job Description

Apple is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join their team and help maintain high standards for battery life on their devices. This role involves designing, developing, and owning automated tests for battery life validation, as well as post-processing and reporting of test results. You will analyze test results, collaborate with engineering teams to debug battery life issues, and develop/maintain test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and plays a key role in the engineering process, ensuring best-of-class battery life across all Apple devices.
Must have:
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks
  • Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python)
  • Strong QA experience in test planning/strategy/methodologies
  • Self-sufficient in debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Good to have:
  • System level knowledge of hardware and software
  • Experience in functional, performance or battery life testing of mobile devices
