Job Description

The Find My Team is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test with a background in iOS development. This role focuses on building innovative, scalable test automation solutions using Swift and Python to ensure the quality of the Find My app. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining, and performing end-to-end test cases, driving quality improvements, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to deliver phenomenal products.
Must have:
  • 6+ years of experience in Automation
  • Strong Swift/SwiftUI or Objective-C development in test skills
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python
  • Comfortable with Unix commands and experience writing shell scripts
  • A strong understanding of unit, integration, and regression test methodologies
  • Experience working with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch etc.)
  • Diligent with a proactive approach to potential challenges
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across many participating teams
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Good to have:
  • Experience with macOS/iOS development in test
  • Experience using Apple's automation framework: XCTest, XCUI
  • Passionate about learning new skills and technologies quickly and independently
  • Proficient in resolving complex failures using advanced debugging techniques
  • Motivated by solving complex challenges
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Self-starter with leadership capabilities

Job Details

The Find My Team deeply cares about helping customers keep track of the things that they care about. We are a group of highly motivated test engineers who build innovative solutions to help drive the quality for the Find My app. We're looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background in iOS development who is a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical, and analytical skills and is passionate about new technologies in automation.

This role will focus on developing, driving, and delivering scalable test automation solutions. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop critically important test solutions that directly impact the quality of our consumer facing applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and performing end-end test cases through automation using Swift and Python. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Reporting bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role also requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. You will not only dive deep into solving complex problems, but you will also work closely with partners in various disciplines across the company, including SW, HW, Design, Privacy and more. Required Skills/Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees also have the opportunity to become a shareholder through participation in discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
