Software Engineer

The opportunity
The Data team at Unity manages a comprehensive range of data and machine learning systems and tools, covering every stage of the lifecycle—from data ingestion and storage to processing, feature generation, machine learning model training, deployment, and serving. Our work facilitates diverse applications such as simulations, gaming experiences, and improved game monetization.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a Big Data platform that supports ad content delivery for hundreds of millions of consumers and thousands of partners.
• Work in collaboration with the Data Science, Business Intelligence, Devops as well as other engineering teams.
• Improve the pipeline and architecture of the system.
• Design, develop, test, and implement both front-end and backend components of various scalable applications by utilizing multiple programming languages.
• Manage and update the cluster creation processes.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.
• Must have two (2) years of experience with/in the following: Python, Java, and Scala; Data structures, algorithms, and databases; Test-driven development and communications; REST API; and any one of the Big Data Platforms: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, PostGREs, Snowflake, or RedShift.
• 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
• Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
