We are seeking a proficient Software Engineer - Fullstack (Experts in React & Node.Js) to join the Haleon Health Partner engineering team. This role involves designing and implementing effective solutions for product features, taking ownership of work, and collaborating with senior engineers to tackle complex problems. The engineer will write clear, well-structured code, proactively test their work, provide technical feedback, and document features. This role supports a global web application for health professionals in over 65 markets.
Must have:
  • Deliver tasks and develop effective solutions for product features or engineering challenges.
  • Independently own the development of a feature, including problem identification, definition, and scoping.
  • Write clear, well-separated code that reflects coding guidelines and conventions.
  • Proactively test work appropriately.
  • Provide clear and actionable technical feedback on pull requests.
  • Document new and existing features or projects.
  • Make consistent contributions as a release owner.
  • 5+ years of programming and / or platform & systems engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for full-stack web development.
  • Proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs, Apigee Gateway.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience working with a component library (Tailwind, Shadcn UI or similar).
  • Experience project planning in an Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Good to have:
  • MS/MBA Degree.
  • Experience with headless CMS (e.g., Contentful).
  • Experience with component-based design systems & design tokens.
  • Functional & technical expert with deep domain & engineering expertise and experience, relevant to Haleon's scale and complexity.

About the role

We are seeking a proficient Software Engineer - Fullstack (Experts in React & Node.Js) to join the Haleon Health Partner engineering team. This is a great opportunity to contribute towards a global web application, with diverse and modern functionalities, that supports health professionals in over 65 markets!

The role is suited to software engineers that thrive on delivering impactful solutions and tackling challenges with creativity and precision. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement effective solutions for product features, taking ownership of your work and making strides towards independently managing feature development. You'll collaborate with senior engineers to break down complex problems, demonstrating your ability to achieve successful outcomes in smaller problem spaces.

As a technical expert, you'll write clear, well-structured code that adheres to our coding guidelines, ensuring it is easily understood by your peers. Your proactive approach to testing and quality assurance will be key, as you'll take responsibility for the quality of your work, owning and addressing any defects. You'll also provide insightful technical feedback on pull requests, aligning with our engineering principles, and demonstrating an awareness of essential non-functional principles such as accessibility, performance, and security.

The engineer will be a valuable team player, offering direct and constructive feedback to colleagues while graciously accepting feedback in return. Your consistent progress on assigned tasks, proactive communication, and ability to document features and projects will be crucial to our team's success. As a floater or release owner, your steady contributions will help drive our projects forward, ensuring we deliver exceptional results.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivers tasks and develops effective solutions for product features or engineering challenges

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • 5+ years of programming and / or platform & systems engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for full-stack web development.
  • MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js, JavaScript/Typescript, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Apigee Gateway, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Confluence
  • Experience working with a component library (Tailwind, Shadcn UI or similar)
  • Experience project planning in an Agile environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred

  • MS/MBA Degree
