Software Engineer II (Backend) - Cloud SOAR, CyberSecurity

Sumo Logic is seeking a Software Engineer II (Backend) for its Cloud SOAR, CyberSecurity team in Noida, India. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable cloud services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring service quality. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, a degree in Computer Science or related field, and expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and programming languages like Scala, Java, Python, or Go, along with strong problem-solving and Agile development skills.

Must Have

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or Go
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to design and maintain scalable cloud services
• Ability to ensure service quality and responsiveness
• Ability to identify and fix bugs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable cloud services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of services.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering,
• Technical Skills: Working experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), programming languages (any of Scala, Java, Python, Go, etc.).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Agile Development: Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
