Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for a hybrid role in Novi Sad or Belgrade. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software development experience, with at least two years in C++, and proficiency in .NET or Java, and RDBMS databases. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing C++ front office applications, designing technical solutions, and collaborating with various teams. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with distributed cache technologies, AWS, Kafka, KDB/q, Python, and trading systems is a plus. Must Have
- Develop and enhance C++ front office applications and services based on specifications
- Debug, maintain, and optimize existing code
- Design, implement, and test technical solutions from business requirements
- Collaborate with trading desks, middle office, and technology teams
- Identify and manage technical risks and issues
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions
- Provide technical support to stakeholders
- Report on project status and developments to senior management
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Recent hands-on experience with C++ (minimum of two years)
- Experience with .NET or Java
- Practical experience working with RDBMS databases
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision
- Solid understanding of software development processes and lifecycle
- Possess a valid work permit for Serbia
Good to Have
- Knowledge of distributed cache technologies, including Apache Ignite
- Familiarity with AWS, Kafka, KDB/q, and Python
- Experience working on real-time or near real-time trading systems
- Proven experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and/or risk management solutions

Your profile:
- 5+years of experience in software development
- Recent hands-on experience with C++ (minimum of two years)
- Experience with .NET or Java
- Practical experience working with RDBMS databases

- Familiarity with AWS, Kafka, KDB/q, and Python is a strong plus

- Understanding of coding best practices with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and easily understandable code
