Apple is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for its Applied Networking team. This role involves ensuring the quality and seamless user experience of features across iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Responsibilities include validating Applied Networking features, developing test environments, maintaining tests and tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams and the automation framework team, defining testing strategies, reporting on test coverage and issues, managing test data and utilities, identifying and tracking defects, analyzing test results, and improving test automation coverage. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator and potentially a team mentor.

As a QE Automation Engineer on the Applied Networking team, you will play a key role in the testing and release of features for iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS and tvOS. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for validating Applied Networking features to ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, developing test environments and maintaining essential tests and tools. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying product health across teams. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on new features and with the automation framework team to improve automated testing and processes. Participate in defining testing strategies and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of software products. Provide concise reports and updates on test coverage, issues, and product quality to stakeholders. Develop and manage test data, tools, and utilities to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency. Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues swiftly and effectively. Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and generate detailed reports on software quality and product health. Continuously improve test automation coverage by integrating new tests and refining existing ones. Collaborate closely with developers, engineering program managers, and multiple QA teams to comprehend feature requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. A great teammate with the ability to mentor peers and take on leadership roles within the team.
