The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for executing various testing types including Functional, Integration, Regression, API, UI, and Database testing. This role involves developing and maintaining test cases, performing API testing with Postman, validating backend data using SQL, and contributing to automation efforts with Selenium or Playwright using Java/Python. The engineer will also integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, log defects in JIRA, maintain documentation in TestRail, and collaborate within an Agile environment. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in software/system testing are required.
Good To Have:- Exposure to REST Assured, SoapUI, or other API automation tools.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and version control systems.

- Perform API testing using Postman.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and support database-level testing.
- Contribute to automation efforts using Selenium or Playwright with scripting in Java or Python.
- Integrate basic automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Execute manual test cases and log defects using JIRA; maintain test documentation in TestRail.
- Collaborate with developers and QA leads to understand system architecture and testing scope.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint-based testing activities.
- Maintain testing documentation throughout the test lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software/system testing.
- Experience in Functional Testing, API Testing (Postman), SQL, and defect management tools (JIRA/TestRail).
- Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, and basic automation scripting in Java or Python.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
