The Opportunity
“This role will be working on end-to-end Software Quality Assurance, ensuring robust testing of J2EE applications, Web Services, and Cloud-based systems. The position will focus on developing test strategies, automation frameworks, and validation of software applications across multiple environments. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with development, business analysts, and product teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure applications.” – Hiring Manager
What You’ll Contribute
- Fully understand the functionality of the target software, system, or application under test.
- Participate in software requirements reviews, QA estimations, and align QA tasks to the project plan.
- Design and implement thorough, clear, and concise test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Perform system, integration, and regression testing by formulating and executing effective testing strategies.
- Log and track defects through to closure, working closely with developers and business analysts.
- Develop and maintain a Test Automation Framework for regression test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Review software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness to mitigate risks.
- Produce detailed documentation for all stages of test development and execution, including results.
- Reduce regression test cycles by identifying opportunities for automation.
- Communicate product readiness, quality levels, and results to stakeholders, regional teams, and clients.
What We’re Seeking
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle with strong expertise in Software Quality Assurance.
- Proven hands-on experience in testing J2EE, XML/JSON, and Web Services applications.
- Strong experience in creating Requirements Traceability Matrices, aligning business requirements with test cases.
- Expertise in building test plans, scenarios, and cases with a focus on requirements and objectives.
- Hands-on experience with Web Applications and Web Services testing using tools such as SoapUI, Postman, or equivalents.
- Experience in testing applications running on AWS Cloud.
- Proficiency with RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins Pipeline or GitHub Actions.
- Strong working knowledge of Defect Tracking and Test Management tools such as JIRA, qTest, or Quality Center.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
- Experience in Financial Services, Originations, or Fraud domain is highly preferred
