Tennr is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their NYC-based team. This role is crucial in customer evaluations, ensuring smooth integration and a transformative experience. You will collaborate with sales to develop and execute evaluation plans, guiding customers from discovery to proposal. The position requires deep technical understanding, a customer-centric approach, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, engineering, and post-sales teams. You will effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, showcasing how Tennr's AI-driven solutions can achieve key business outcomes and optimize workflows.
Must have:
  • 2+ years in sales/solutions engineering, preferably SaaS
  • Strong sales acumen (MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical background
  • Proficient in creating product demonstrations
  • Team player
Good to have:
  • Startup or fast-paced tech environment experience
  • Cloud/hybrid environment networking/infrastructure experience
  • American healthcare tech experience
  • API design experience

About Tennr:

Today, when you go to your doctor and need to be referred to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), your doctor sends a fax (yes, in 2024, 90% of provider-provider communication is a 1980s fax). These are often converted into 20+ page PDFs, with handwritten (doctor’s handwriting!) notes, in thousands of different formats. The problem is so complex that a person has to read it, type it up, and manually enter your information. Tennr built RaeLLM™ (7B—trained on 3M+ documents) to read these docs, talk to your doc to ensure nothing is missed, and text you to help schedule your appointment so you can get better, faster.

Tennr is a NYC-based tech company that launched out of Y-Combinator and is backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Foundation Capital, The New Normal Fund, and other top investors. 

Role Description

The Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in the customer's evaluation of Tennr, ensuring a smooth integration and transformative experience. Collaborating closely with sales, you will develop and execute evaluation plans, guiding customers from initial discovery to final proposal. This role demands a deep technical understanding, customer focus, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, engineering, and post-sales teams. You will effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, showcasing how Tennr can achieve key business outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities

• Involvement in the sales cycle from qualifying an opportunity through proposal.

• Assess current state and identify key business objectives through assessments, workshops, and discovery calls.

• Develop evaluation plans and aid AE in building opportunity/account strategies. 

• Aid the AE in mapping Tennr solutions to business outcomes and help build the business case to guide the customer to understand ‘why Tennr’.

• Support the sales team and prospects during technical evaluations by providing expert knowledge and guidance on Tennr’s platform.

• Build, customize, and deliver product demonstrations and POC’s to effectively communicate the value of Tennr’s solutions.

• Deeply understand prospect workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and demonstrate how Tennr’s technology can optimize these processes to drive better outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment in delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs.

• Provide technical consultation throughout the sales cycle to help prospects envision successful implementations of Tennr’s platform.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Tennr’s product capabilities, competitive landscape, and industry trends to provide informed advice to prospects.

• Travel 10-20% of the time to customers' sites and conferences.

Qualifications

• 2 + years of experience in sales/solutions engineering, preferably within the SaaS industry.

• Have a strong sales acumen - knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling, etc.).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with prospects and internal teams.

• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

• Proficient in creating and delivering compelling product demonstrations that address client-specific needs.

• Experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment is a plus.

• A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and values diverse perspectives.

• Experience with cloud/hybrid environment networking and infrastructure is a plus.

• Experience with American healthcare tech is a plus.

• Experience with API design is a plus.
