Job Description

The Specialist is responsible for determining project-specific costs for color and corrosion protection, ensuring compliance from offer to execution phase, selecting and approving paint and surface protection systems, technically qualifying and monitoring paint suppliers and coaters. They will also evaluate and comment on customer specifications regarding color, corrosion protection, material selection, and declaration. Responsibilities include selecting project-specific painting service providers and supervising the process, accepting deliveries, and supporting FAI/First Series (including logging actual values). They will also be responsible for requesting, evaluating, and managing project-specific color samples, quality assessment/complaint handling of coated components, defining internal rules and standards for the painting process and corrosion protection/treatment of material combinations, and creating project-specific process descriptions, measurement point plans, and specifications – coordination with suppliers and customers. Additional responsibilities include the development/follow-up of project-specific material declarations, managing (procurement, tracking) the required certificates for components, commissioning tests, and evaluating and classifying test certificates. The specialist will also evaluate new materials and participate in the approval process of suppliers, monitor legal requirements and the development of standards in the field of materials and hazardous substances in rail vehicles. They are also expected to train their own employees and employees of service providers, support other departments (purchasing, quality, technology) in their areas of responsibility, track development trends in the specialist area and neighboring areas, evaluate technical solutions from competitors, and collaborate with external service providers and research partners.
Must have:
  • Completed degree in Chemical Engineering Color/Paints
  • Paint Master / Master for Corrosion Protection with 5 years of experience
  • Foreign language skills (English) in word and writing
  • IT skills

Sie sind verantwortlich für:

  • Ermittlung der projektspezifischen Kosten für Farbgebung / Korrosionsschutz und Gewährleistung der Einhaltung von Angebots- bis zur Abwicklungsphase
  • Auswahl und Freigabe von Farb- und Oberflächenschutzsystemen
  • Technische Qualifizierung und Überwachung von Farblieferanten und Beschichtern als Bestandteil des Freigabe- und Überwachungsprozesses
  • Bewertung und Kommentierung von Kundenspezifikationen zu Farbgebung, Korrosionsschutz, Materialauswahl und -deklaration
  • Auswahl der projektspezifischen Farbgebungsdienstleister und Betreuung im Prozess
  • Abnahme beim Lieferanten und Unterstützung FAI / Erste Serie (einschl. Protokollierung Ist-Werte)
  • Anforderung, Bewertung und Verwaltung projektspezifischer Farbmuster
  • Qualitätsbewertung / Reklamationsbearbeitung beschichteter Komponenten (Freigabe, Begutachtung, Abstimmung mit Lieferanten)
  • Definition/Festlegung interner Regeln und Standards zum Farbgebungsprozess und Korrosionsschutz / Behandlung von Materialkombinationen
  • Erstellung projektspez. Prozessbeschreibungen, Messstellenpläne und Vorgaben – Abstimmung mit Lieferanten und Kunden
  • Erarbeitung / Follow up von projektspezifischen Materialdeklarationen
  • Management (Beschaffung, Nachhalten) der benötigten Zertifikate für Komponenten,
  • Beauftragung von Tests und Bewertung und Eingruppierung von Prüfzeugnissen
  • Bewertung neuer Materialien, Mitwirkung im Freigabeprozess von Lieferanten
  • Überwachung der gesetzlichen Vorgaben und der Normenentwicklung im Bereich Materialien und Gefahrstoffe bei Schienenfahrzeugen
  • Schulungen eigener Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeitern von Dienstleistern
  • Unterstützung anderer Abteilungen (Einkauf, Qualität, Technik) im Aufgabenbereich
  • Verfolgung der Entwicklungstendenzen im Fachgebiet und benachbarter Bereiche
  • Bewertung von technischen Lösungen von Wettbewerbern
  • Zusammenarbeit mit externen Dienstleistern und Forschungspartnern

Sie bringen mit:

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium Chemieingenieurwesen Farbe / Lacke
    Lackiermeister / Meister für Korrosionsschutz mit 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung
  • Fremdsprachenkenntnisse (Englisch) in Wort und Schrift
  • EDV-Kenntnisse
