The Integration Engineer (IE) collaborates with teams to solve problems and identify efficiencies. The IE uses sound judgment, supports solution design, ensures client needs are met, and maintains effective communication. They work with merchants, partners, and tech teams, providing technical consultancy to support Sales and Business Development and enable PayPal’s products. They provide feedback to internal teams to shape technical solutions and feature needs.

The IE works with merchants, partners, and tech teams, providing technical consultancy to support Sales and Business Development and enable PayPal’s products. The IE gives feedback to internal teams to shape technical solutions and feature needs.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Recognize and articulate business requirements
  • Implement PayPal solutions adhering to guidelines and company policies
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for all implementation-related activities
  • Provide technical development and coding support
  • Consult with clients through testing and pre-launch activities
  • Relay feedback to Product Managers, Engineering, Technology, and other internal groups
  • Integrate proposed PayPal solutions into client commerce platforms
  • Ensure partners implement optimal integration strategies, techniques, and user experience best practices
  • Translate requirements into detailed design and solution documents
  • Assess and troubleshoot most integration issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Prior experience working as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Pre-sales Engineer or Solutions Architect
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builderwith the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Creative thinker and experienced at understanding clients pain points.
  • Highly skilled at applying consultative methodologies and techniques to influence solution design and solve integration pain points
  • Experience with Web and Mobile development technologies (iOS,Android) is required: JavaScript, Node.JS, PHP, Java, REST, SOAP, NVP, Webhooks are commonly used by our clients
  • Prior experiencewithin the payments industry will be highly
    regarded
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalentpractical experience
  • Sound knowledge of online payment processing across web, mobile app, and in store
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in working with enterprise organizations - preferably retailers, ecommerce, shopping carts and payment gateways
  • Experience with system discovery process, requirements gathering and systems architecture
