Ansys, now part of Synopsys, is seeking an Electronics Software Development and Testing Intern for Spring 2026. This enriching internship program aims to develop the next generation of engineers and technologists. As an intern, you will contribute to developing industry-leading simulation software, gaining real-world experience in your field. You will work on impactful projects to maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products, specifically supporting the Electronics Business Unit. This is a 40-hour per week paid position from January to April 2026.
Must have:
  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, device modeling or related technical degree
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program
  • Experience with Python or Javascript/Typescript or C/C++
  • Experience with 3D graphics
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of scripting and shells like python, csh, bash
  • Prior experience of using ANSYS products or other engineering software
  • Familiarity with electronics and/or mechanical engineering concepts

As an Electronics Software Development and Testing Intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products. In this internship, you will support our Electronics Business Unit. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting January 2026 and concluding April 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development, design, and testing of a new webapp that is part of the Electronics Desktop product using Angular.
  • Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes.
  • Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.
  • Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes.
  • Learn and employ best software practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, device modeling or related technical degree.
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
  • Experience in with Python or Javascript/Typescript or C/C++
  • Experience with 3D graphics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of scripting and shells like python, csh, bash.

Prior experience of using ANSYS products or other engineering software is a plus.

A familiarity with electronics and/or mechanical engineering concepts will be helpful.
